About Tala Cafe
Go for the coffee, stay for the art in you
Our Story
TALA Cafe is named after and dedicated to painter-poet, editor and writer TITA LACAMBRA AYALA who playfully signed her paintings TALA.
It's a celebration to honor Mothers and Motherhood—the bearers and nurturers of all forms and qualities: from nitty-gritty to superfluous.
We are grateful and blessed to be a part of birthing TALA Cafe to be a 3rd space for kindred souls: students and teachers—the learners of life, artists and entrepreneurs—the lovers of expression and creators of statements of reality.
TALA was an epitome of warm welcome and genuine curiosity about what's going on in a person's world.
The Cafe is a good step toward some of our dreams—to have a safe space to meetup with friends, read a book, enjoy music or sit alone with a comforting refreshing drink when you need to have that conversation with yourself.
TALA Cafe Chronicles
Davao's Coffee Culture
Davao has long been the heart of Philippine coffee production, with its rich volcanic soil and ideal climate nurturing some of the world's finest beans. At Tala Cafe, we celebrate this heritage by sourcing directly from local farms in the highlands.
Our commitment goes beyond serving great coffee—we're part of a movement to preserve and elevate Davao's coffee culture. Through direct relationships with farmers, sustainable practices, and education, we're helping to write the next chapter of this storied tradition.
Every cup at Tala tells a story of place, passion, and people—a chronicle of Davao's enduring love affair with coffee.
